2001年，中国科学院植物研究所获理学博士学位
工作经历
2001年-2004年，在中国科学院昆明植物研究所从事博士后研究工作；
2016年，在亚利桑那大学任访问学者；
2004年至今，在中国科学院植物研究所历任助理研究员、副研究员。
长期从事主要从植物分类学研究，迄今已在国际植物分类学主流刊物发表分类学研究论文30余篇、出版分类学著作3部，完成志书Flora of China（《中国植物志英文版》）和Flora of Pan-Himalaya（《泛喜马拉雅植物志》）部分类群的编研任务。现在主持《泛喜马拉雅植物志》及《肯尼亚植物志》部分类群的研究任务。
